Colle dei Castagni is a residential area divided into 5 lots with 8 different kinds of of independent terraced houses.
The housings are distributed onto one or two levels and each one is complete with a fireplace, parking place in the property and a private garden.
The residential area, designed by architect Roberta Postiglioni, who is also head of the Supervision of Works, is surrounded by a a green hill country landscape and an ancient chestnut wood. It is a good opportunity to live away from the urban chaos without going too far from the city:
it is located in Carbognano, a small historical village full of tradition only 20 Km away from Viterbo, 40 Km away from Rome and very close to the new Viterbo Airport.
The housings have been designed and built in accordance with the environmental sustainability principles through the employment of environmentally compatible materials and technology that are part of the local culture. That entails the employment of sources of energy in observance of the energy conservation and consumption control laws.
The framework is made of reinforced-concrete and wood for the roofing, with anaerated loose stonestone foundation below, detached from the ground; the brickwork is made of hollow tiles with air gap and acoustic and heat insulation plastered in warm natural colours and in some parts local stone-covered. The shutters have double-glazing with external obscuring system. The wooden structured pitch roofing is covered with tiles.
Inside the residential area a building will be destined to the Carabinieri garrison.
It is possible to customize your own house and to arrange the method of payment with the building firm.
